Gracie Stands began as Guitarak Stands in 1980 producing a simple folding stand for guitars. The stand folded flat so it could be carried in the guitar case. Guitarak was shown at NAMM trade shows at Anaheim, CA and Chicago, IL.
One year the Chicago show was instead held in New Orleans, LA. There we saw a stand that held the guitar in playing position. After a year of referring inquirers to the producer of that stand we learned they were no longer in business. Convinced that a market exists for such a stand we designed and patented the Performer Stand.
The stand was produced, shown at the trade shows along with Folding Stands.
The Performer Stand is now our number one product.
Gracie Stands now manufactures musician equipment which is distributed by Harris Teller, M&A Sales, St. Louis Music and MBT International.
